Digital Sensoria is a project funded by the Research Councils UK (RCUK) Digital Economy programme.
Digital Sensoria will provide designers, consumers, corporations and communities with a new language that will enable them to communicate peoples' sensory perceptions of designs and real products through rich multi-modal digital interfaces.
This two-year £775,435 feasibility study arose out of the EPSRC's Sandpit/Ideas Factory ‘Design in the Digital World', held in December 2008. The project will commence on 1 November 2009.
The RCUK's Digital Economy programme aims to realise the transformational impact of information and communication technology for all aspects of business, society and government. The EPSRC is working closely with the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), Medical Research Council (MRC) and Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) to ensure the delivery of this important programme.
